In the afternoon of April 15, 2025, at the invitation of Professor Huansong Zhou of the Center for Mathematics, Chaojiang Xu, a distinguished professor of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, gave an academic report entitled "The Analytical Smoothness Effect of Ultraparabolic Equations". The report was chaired by Professor Zhou Huansong, Director of the Mathematics Center, and attended by teachers and postgraduate students in related fields of the school.
In the report, Prof. Chaojiang Xu first introduced the importance of Gevrey space, and then introduced several types of degenerative parabolic operators and demonstrated their smoothness effects. Then, Prof. Xu showed that the method to study the smoothness of the degenerative operator can be applied to some classical kinetic equations. Finally, Professor Chaojiang Xu shared some experiences on research mathematical problems with the attending faculty and postgraduate students.
After the report, the attending faculty and students had a heated discussion and academic exchange with Chaojiang Xu. This report was held in a strong academic atmosphere, effectively promoting the external academic exchanges and cooperation of our college's mathematics discipline, especially in the field of partial differential equation.
